Coach Amy has spent the majority of her life involved in gymnastics - from competing nationally as a Level 9 gymnast to her 20+ years of coaching experience in Rhode Island, gymnastics has been her life's work for as long as she can remember. She took ownership of SKG Elite (formerly Sport Kids Gymnastics) in 2017, fulfilling her lifelong dream of owning her own gym.
Alongside owning and running SKG Elite, Amy also acts as one of the head coaches to our competitive Xcel and DP teams, and is currently the recreational director for all of our class programs (and still coaches a few!) She believes wholeheartedly in cultivating a family environment at SKG Elite - somewhere where kids feel safe, cherished and important, regardless of their skill level, and parents can be confident that their children are being kept safe, healthy and happy.
Coach Amy is USAG and SafeSport Certified, as well as CPR and First Aid Certified.
Coach Nikki has been involved with gymnastics for more than 20 years, and has been coaching for close to 12 of them. A former competitive gymnast, she won multiple regional & national AAU titles during her 13-year career. She was also a 3-year captain of the Wachusett Regional High School team, leading them to an undefeated season and their 1st State Championship appearance in 2007. She then continued to compete nationally at the college club level for 3 years at Boston University.
After taking a few years after college to pursue a career in Los Angeles, Nikki came to SKG Elite in 2019 and quickly fell back in love with gymnastics & coaching. Her favorite part of being a coach is watching her gymnasts realize just how powerful & capable they are when they overcome a challenge! In her spare time, she also trains as an aerialist - join us for an Open Gym & you might just catch her spinning around up on the silks!
She is USAG and SafeSport certified, as well as CPR, First Aid and CDC Concussion Protocol certified.
Coach Peyton has been involved with gymnastics for more than a decade, competing locally for 8 years and coaching for 7. She came to us as a high-school senior in 2021 with an enthusiastic vision for an early-level compulsory program, and spearheaded the creation of our Level 2 team from the ground up while still competing for the SKG Xcel team.
Her mission as a coach is to build children's self-confidence and independence through their gymnastics, and she aspires to be the kind of coach that can mix both discipline and fun in equal measure as a compulsory coach. She is currently a student at Worcester State University, working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education.
She is USAG and SafeSport certified, as well as CPR and First Aid certified.
